Rocky relationships suck. There, I said it! Whether it’s a personal relationship with a lover or family member or if you’re having a hard time with someone at work, a neighbor, or a customer, it’s stressful. And, lots of the time there’s nothing you can do but weather the storm. In truth, peaceful living is possible if only you believe this statement, “This, too, shall pass“.
Did you ever wonder who coined that phrase? In fact, he was a very wise man. Before he became president, Abraham Lincoln gave a speech. In it, he spoke these words, “It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: And this, too, shall pass away.“ Very smooth, Mr. Lincoln.

Peaceful Living is Possible with a Few Changes
Resist the urge to resist.
There are some things we just have to accept. For example, what can you do about the weather? Nothing. You have to find a way to live with it. Furthermore, the same is true with people. You really can’t change others, you can only change yourself.
Here’s a post that will help you accept the things you can’t change.
Your life will be smoother if you learn how to let some things go.
In other words, you’ve got to pick your fights. If you go around constantly butting heads with others, you’re going to end up with one hell of a headache. Repeat after me, “The storm will pass“.
You’ll need a few tools at your disposal to make your life more peaceful.
Here’s a Dance Safari post that gives some tips on how to smooth things out when confrontation is unavoidable, “Bad Behavior? 5 Ways to Ignore It When Someone Acts Out“.

Good advice.
Thank you. Now I’m gonna get out there and see if I can practice what I preach! Have a great evening.
