At one time or another, we’ve all checked out some quotes about our hobby. We do it for inspiration, motivation, or just a laugh. It’s no secret what my passion is, so guess what I’m looking for. That’s right, quotes about dancing with a partner. You know, ballroom dancing!
This first quote is an oldie but goodie.
Of course, we’ve heard this famous line before, but I had no idea it was from a cartoon. According to Wikipedia.org, in a 1982 Frank and Ernest cartoon by Bob Thaves, a woman is telling Frank and Ernest “Sure, Fred Astaire was great, but don’t forget that Ginger Rogers did everything he did, …backwards and in high heels.”
This quote about dancing tells us to respect the personal difficulties people have when they’re putting dance shoes to the dance floor and tripping the light fantastic. Everybody has talents and limitations they’re pushing through. Gotta love it!
By the way, here’s a little tidbit for you. Dancing Backward in High Heels is the title of the New York Dolls final album which was released in 2011.
This next quote about ballroom dancing is encouraging and thoughtful.
This quote is from a former colleague of mine, dancer Erin Bomboy, author of The Winner: A Ballroom Dance Novel.

This is somewhat in tune with the Dance Safari post, “If You Say, “I’m So Shy” then Ballroom Dancing is for You!” The idea that ballroom dancing can help “the shy, the awkward, and the weird” is 100% on the mark. Maybe it’s the idea that you’re playing the part of someone else or maybe it’s the freedom of being able to express yourself. Either way, this quote hits the spot!
Guess who this quote about ballroom dancing is about!
I really like this very descriptive quote because it paints a pretty cool picture. See what you think and leave a guess as to who it’s about in the comments.

So, get motivated and inspired to keep on dancing. You’ll never know how much it brings to your life until you try it.

The final quote was about the actor Fatty Arbuckle.
