Finding Inner-Strength Through Truth and Logic

Seeking inner-strength may seem like a challenging undertaking.  After all, there’s so much going on that it seems crazy to imagine we’ll ever find it.  But, all that negativity is in your head.  For this reason, get out of your head and look into your heart.

Self-realization + determination = inner-strength.

Use the power of your mind to find inner-strength.

What is inner-strength?

One answer to this question is having the ability to manage how you react to things you can’t change.

Here are 4 situations that most of us would like to avoid.

1. Illness or Death by Pandemic

To begin with, you’ve got to acknowledge that there are things happening that you can’t control. For instance, the pandemic. You personally can’t stop it and, at this point all you can do is find the self-control to abide by the recommendations of experts. Who wants to wear a mask? Not me, but I give myself a good talking-to and protect myself and those I care about. So, I believe that self-control is the first step to developing inner-strength.

2. Loss of Income

Lots of people are out of work right now. Many more than what is considered normal. Because it’s something that’s out of your control, no good comes from sitting around and crying about it. That’s not gonna help. On the other hand, what does help is to become aware of the assistance that’s available to you. Pay attention to the opportunities that open up in times of trouble. Your determination to stay afloat will guide you as you find the power within yourself to shake off the bad and look for the good.

3. Frightening Weather Due to Climate Change
Exactly!

We have no power over acts of nature such as hurricanes and flooding. The fact is, there’s no point in trying to change the weather. Instead, use your time, energy, and self-control to deal with it and survive.

4. A Bitter Relationship

What’s it like when someone decides that you’re unworthy of their attention or affection? A bitter relationship can develop between any two people. It may be a neighbor, family member, co-worker, lover, or employer. You can’t control their mindset, only your own. Your inner-strength and determination can be used to correct or defuse the situation. Without success, separation is inevitable. It may be hard to leave a relationship that’s turned sour, but you can never go wrong if you follow your heart.

You have power over your mind, but not outside events.

Yes, you or someone you care about could become sick and die. You may lose your ability to make money. And, of course, these days the weather is presenting many challenges. As for #4, a bitter relationship sucks, but with inner-strength and perseverance, you’ll pull through.

Many people use meditation to help de-stress. Here’s an informative post that explains how.

So, determination and inner-strength will bring me happiness?

Yes. Imagine a life where you’re not butting your head against the wall every time an unhappy situation comes your way. Be resourceful and dig deep down to find the power you need to ride out the storm. Why not be the sunshine to the clouds? After a while, it’ll be automatic. Then, you’ll have the happiness you deserve.

    • Thank you, Carolyn. It seems like challenges present themselves every day. And, when they do, I stand a little taller, throw my shoulders back, and tell myself, “You’ve got this!”.
As always, I appreciate your comments and encouragement.
