A ballroom dance studio is a place for you to enjoy a happy heart. It may seem shocking to be dancing so close to your lovely (or handsome) instructor, but there is nothing lascivious going on here.
It’s just you learning to work as part of a team – developing your ability to trust your partner.
I will warn you though, few people that you encounter in your life will be as charming, fun, encouraging, and enlightening as your ballroom dance teacher. You see, they want you to experience what they have – the joy of dancing.
This is a life-changer and the person who introduces this to you will be forever special to you.
Let’s face it if you’d like to be a social dancer you must be taught which means you have to have an instructor which means you’re going back to school!
How does that make you feel? Were your school days filled with the joy of learning? Or did you feel the pain of being regulated and standardized?
You (and everyone around you) were taught the same things at the same time. There was no such thing as a tailor-made plan just for you.
You did what everyone else did.
Ah, but at the ballroom dance school, things are different. Go take a free sample lesson at a studio and you’ll see what I mean.
After the lesson, most instructors will talk with you about what’s going on with your dancing now and will make recommendations as to what would be the best way for you to get started.
When it comes to dancing lessons, everybody’s different. Some people are very comfortable with their bodies and feel perfectly at ease in movement. They’ll try anything.
Others are uneasy and apprehensive about the whole dance lesson experience.
Either way, rest assured that you’re in the good hands of your well-trained instructors. They’ll develop a plan that is customized to your individual needs and desires.
Your lessons will go at just the right speed, neither too fast, nor too slow.
The beauty of ballroom dancing is it improves your life. Even if you believe that your circumstances are perfect and couldn’t get any better, you’re going to love the new strengths that you’ll develop.
- Sense of achievement
- Stronger, more flexible body
- Stately posture and poise
- Elegant, expressive movements
- Increased mental capacity
- New and exciting social life filled with people and music
All that plus an instructor dedicated to bringing it all to life for you. No scandal there!
